Steve, currently training and racing as a member of British Cycling, is a Paralympic gold medalist, 4km pursuit world record holder, motivational speaker and one of our ambassadors.
After being diagnosed in 2011 with a degenerative eye condition, Steve adopted a ‘make every moment count’ attitude to life, where he began a series of immense adventures, starting with being the first visually impaired person to solo El Capitan in Yosemite in California.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We are delighted to invite Steve to speak at Cycle Expo 2019.
Haven spoken at a vast number of high profile events, including Government departments and Premier League football events, it’s Steve’s ability to speak on such an honest, raw level, that makes his talks so easy to relate to for a vast range of audiences.
His down to earth or humorous approach to his life journey is both highly motivational and inspirational - a talk not to be missed!
We all have obstacles in our lives: stuff that life throws at us, or barriers we put in ourselves. I’m trying to highlight that there’s not much that you can’t overcome, or at least work around, with the right mind set.
…Since my diagnosis in 2011, I've had some of the best moments in my life, just because I refused to let something stand in my way
